(The video newscast is disabled for this preview.)

1. What do you know about executive orders and how they work?

2. What are the positive and negative features of executive orders?

3. Considering all the duties and responsibilities of the president, do you think the job is too big for one person? Why or why not?

Students will be able to prove with evidence the big idea, “power can be used or abused,” using multimedia sources to write a newspaper article evaluating an executive order in U.S. history.
