Humans emit a huge amount of greenhouse gases, through our use of nonrenewable resources such as oil and natural gas. These greenhouse gas emissions get stuck in the atmosphere, trapping heat and causing global temperature increases. An important part of slowing down climate change is reducing these gas emissions.
